Clinical Counsellor
Shaun Smith
I believe that your story matters.
Each of us carries experiences that shape who we are, and sometimes the most healing thing we can do is to slow down, be present, and create space for those stories to be heard. My role is to walk alongside you in that process—offering safety, understanding, and support as you discover what moving forward looks like for you.
As a licensed Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, I bring not only professional training but also years of experience serving as a Counsellor, Teacher, and Pastor. These roles have given me the privilege of walking with families, adults, and teens through many of life’s challenges—whether that’s navigating anxiety, finding hope in the midst of depression, building and maintaining healthy relationships, or healing from religious trauma.
Before becoming a Clinical Counsellor, I spent many years in education and counselling roles within schools and communities. This background has shaped the way I approach therapy: with patience, deep respect, and a strong belief in the importance of feeling seen.
I work with adults, teens (16+), and couples who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey.
You are the expert of your own life, and I aim to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore, process, and grow. We sit together in the difficult places, but we also look for moments of hope and growth that build the capacity for living with resilience and meaning.
Sometimes the best step we can take is simply to show up. If you’re ready to take that step, I’d be honoured to walk with you.

What I Offer
Find peace in the midst of worry, overthinking, and daily stress. Together, we’ll build tools for grounding, balance, and resilience so you can navigate life with greater ease.
Personal growth and resilience are not about avoiding hardship. They are about finding ways to allow those lessons to shape us into who we are becoming.
You don’t have to walk that road alone.
Why do I relate this way, and what might a healthier way look like?
